Jamie Bourque

After graduating from MacEwan University with a diploma in Design and Motion Image Jamie Bourque (Television/Digital Producer) entered the television industry 2009.  During this time Jamie has acquired mentorships with the National Research Council, the Alberta Media Production Industries Association and the Canadian Media Production Association.   He is currently working as producer on various convergent television projects.  

Independent projects through the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and The Canada Council for the Arts have also been a passion for Jamie, receiving grants in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Presented with the National Aboriginal Role Model award in 2010 and recognized as one of Alberta’s contributors to arts and culture  Jamie is more passionate about video and digital applications than ever.  He has been a guest speaker at numerous High Schools and Universities across the country to encourage youth involvement in the arts and offer video workshops to Aboriginal teens in Northern Alberta communities.  Jamie also enjoys being a juror at film festivals and says "it is inspiring to see new concepts and technical approach to sharing stories.”
